Payroll Compliance & Rostering Specialist | Support Centre | Cannon Hill, Brisbane | Permanent Full-time | Flexible working arrangements - WFH/OfficeThe RoleReporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring payroll compliance and effective workforce rostering across our three-country retail network.You'll work closely with Payroll, HR, and Store Leaders to ensure payroll practices remain compliant with employment legislation, retail awards, enterprise agreements, and company policies. Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure payroll practices comply with employment legislation, retail awards, enterprise agreements, and Fair Work requirementsInterpret and apply modern awards, penalty rates, overtime, allowances, and loadings accuratelyConduct payroll audits and identify compliance risks or discrepanciesMonitor and analyse roster compliance across retail locationsSupport Store Managers with roster planning, workforce management tools, and best-practice guidanceMaintain payroll and rostering systems, including ADP Payforce and DayforceDevelop payroll reports, compliance dashboards, and workforce insightsAssist with internal and external audits and legislative compliance requirementsInvestigate payroll issues and implement corrective actions where requiredProvide responsive and professional support to employees, leaders, and HR stakeholders
What You BringMinimum 5 years' payroll experience within a retail or high-volume workforce environmentStrong understanding of employment legislation, retail awards, and payroll compliance requirementsExperience undertaking payroll audits and managing compliance obligationsRostering or workforce management experience highly regardedStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAdvanced Excel and reporting skillsExceptional attention to detail and accuracyAbility to build strong relationships across multiple stakeholder groupsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience with ADP Payforce and/or Ceridian Dayforce is highly desirable
