Looking for a role with a 9-day fortnight, variety in your work, and the opportunity to put your trade skills to use across a large regional site?

Join our team at Trangie and help maintain the buildings, infrastructure, plant and equipment that support important agricultural research and operations across NSW.

This is a practical, hands-on role with plenty of variety. One day you may be coordinating repairs and maintenance works, the next you could be troubleshooting equipment issues, managing contractors or working on infrastructure improvement projects. If you enjoy problem-solving, working independently and seeing the results of your work, we'd like to hear from you.

About the Team

You'll be joining a small, supportive team at the Trangie Agricultural Research Centre, one of NSW's leading agricultural research facilities. The site includes a diverse range of buildings, workshops, infrastructure, plant and equipment, providing plenty of opportunity to apply your trade skills across a variety of maintenance and improvement projects.

Working closely with operational staff, researchers and contractors, you'll play an important role in ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional and ready to support research that benefits regional industries and communities.

What You’ll be doing

• Undertake and coordinate maintenance, repair and refurbishment works across buildings, infrastructure, plant and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and maintenance issues to minimise operational disruptions.
• Coordinate contractors and ensure work is completed safely and to the required standard.
• Plan maintenance activities and assist with the procurement of equipment and critical spare parts.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure workshops, tools and equipment are maintained in a safe and orderly condition.

About You

You are a qualified tradesperson who takes pride in delivering quality work and maintaining safe, reliable facilities and equipment.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold:

• A trade qualification in Electrical, Plumbing or Carpentry
• A current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel as required
• A current NSW Forklift Operator's Licence, or the ability to obtain one

You'll also bring:

• Experience maintaining and repairing buildings, plant and equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to maintenance work
• The ability to manage competing priorities and respond to urgent requests
• A commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
• Good communication and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
