About the role

Century Scaffolding is seeking qualified Scaffolders and Scaffold Labourers to join our growing Adelaide-based team on a casual basis.

Due to a strong pipeline of secured work and continued business growth, we are looking for reliable and motivated people to support our residential and commercial scaffolding operations across Adelaide.

These are hands-on, physically active positions. You will work as part of an experienced team to ensure our scaffolding projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

What you’ll be doing

• Assisting with the erection, modification and dismantling of scaffolding structures

• Loading and unloading scaffolding materials, components and equipment

• Transporting and positioning scaffold materials around worksites

• Preparing work areas and keeping sites safe, clean and organised

• Securing scaffolding components under the direction of qualified scaffolders

• Inspecting equipment and reporting damaged or defective components

• Following all Safe Work Method Statements and workplace safety procedures

• Wearing and maintaining the required personal protective equipment

• Assisting with scaffold inspections and compliance requirements

• Performing general labouring duties as required

• Working across a variety of residential and commercial projects throughout Adelaide

Qualified Scaffolders will also be responsible for safely erecting, altering, inspecting and dismantling scaffold systems within the scope of their High Risk Work Licence.

What we’re looking for

• A strong work ethic and positive attitude

• Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work effectively within a team

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual work outdoors

• The ability and willingness to work safely at heights

• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail

• The ability to follow instructions from supervisors and qualified scaffolders

• A current White Card – essential

• A current driver’s licence – essential

• Reliable transport to and from work – essential

• A Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Scaffolding High Risk Work Licence for scaffolder positions

• Previous construction, labouring or scaffolding experience is preferred for labourers but not essential

• An MR licence and Working at Heights ticket are preferred

• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical

• The ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
