About the role
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, costing, treasury, and compliance activities of the company. This position serves as a key business partner to the General Manager and department leaders, providing financial insights that support operational efficiency, profitability improvement, and sustainable growth. The role also leads the finance team and works closely with manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and group finance teams.
Key responsibilities
Manage all accounting and finance functions for the business.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards, IFRS, taxation, and statutory requirements.
Maintain effective internal controls and financial governance.
Manage product costing, inventory valuation, and standard costing systems.
Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability drivers.
Partner with operations to improve cost efficiency and productivity.
Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Monitor financial performance against budget and identify key business trends.
Coordinate external and internal audits.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum 8 years of accounting and finance experience.
Strong manufacturing industry experience, including cost accounting and inventory management.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business partnering.
Proficiency in SAP or other Tier-1 ERP systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience in the cable, manufacturing, industrial, or engineering sectors (preferred).
Experience working within a multinational environment (preferred).
Knowledge of Australian taxation and corporate compliance requirements (preferred).
