MACHINE OPERATOR/TANK FARM OPERATOR

RTD Environmental provides waste management solutions to commercial, Government and industrial organisations through our fully licensed EPA Treatment Facility based in Derrimut.

Reporting directly to Senior Management your role is critical in ensuring processing of trucks processing of trucks and muds as our Mud Machine Operator.

 Responsibilities include (but not limited to):-

·        Processing of muds to meet daily production targets;

·        Complete required paperwork accurately for each truck upon receiving it's load;

·        Mechanically minded;

·        Set up machinery and machinery operation

·        Monitor production equipment

·        To work independently and in a team environment;

·        Ensure production areas are clean;

·        Participate and promote a safety culture supporting the business to maintain a safe working environment;

 Your role is critical in ensuring regular and accurate receiving and dispatching of oil as part of our busy Tank Farm Team.

 Responsibilities include (but not limited to):-

·        Ensuring safe and accurate transfer of oil between tanks and storage facilities;

·        Sampling & QA checks;

·        Setting up pumps, choosing correct valves and tank destinations;

·        Checking tank capacity;

·        Inspection of tanks;

·        Sealing tanks;

 Requirements for the position:-

·        Forklift Licence – desirable but if not willing to be trained in obtaining same;

·        Excavator Licence - desirable but if not willing to be trained in obtaining same;

·        Strong work ethic and positive attitude

·        Strong attention to detail;

·        Ability to have to do repetitive physical manual tasks;

·        Ability and willingness to learn;

·        Good Work Ethic;

·        Physically fit and healthy;

·        Reliable and hardworking;

·        Hold a current Drivers’ Licence and have reliable transport;

 You will need to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with knowledge of and experience with Computer systems and software preferable.  You will need to work well independently and in a team environment at a variety of tasks including forklift, excavator operation, general labouring duties machine and tank farm operations and as instructed from time to time by Senior Management.  In return you will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate and join a great team.
