The ROLE

We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated and suitably qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our Gold Coast-based Plant team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will be primarily workshop based, with onsite servicing, breakdown support and repairs required from time to time across our projects and operations.

About YOU 

To be eligible for this position you must have the following:

• Relevant Trade Qualification
• A current driver’s licence, with HR licence highly regarded
• Experience servicing, diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel vehicles, plant and equipment, including excavators, articulated dump trucks, dozers and similar machinery
• Welding experience and capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a workshop team, with flexibility to attend onsite servicing and repair work as required
• A commitment to maintaining work health and safety practices
• Strong fault-finding capability and demonstrated knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and mechanical systems
• Basic electrical skills
• Air Conditioning license will be highly regarded
