About the role
Park Furniture Australia is seeking a Trade Qualified Fabricator & Manufacturing Worker to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to contribute to our manufacturing operations in Capalaba, QLD. In this dual-function role, you'll work across fabrication and general manufacturing duties, playing a vital role in the production of high-quality furniture components and assemblies. This position offers job security and career progression within a growing manufacturing operation, whilst allowing you to build on your technical expertise in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities
Fabricate and manufacture furniture components using various materials and techniques in accordance with specifications and quality standards
Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, including welding equipment, cutting tools, and other manufacturing machinery
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accuracy in manufacturing processes
Perform welding tasks where applicable, ensuring strong, high-quality welds that meet industry standards
Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to identify and rectify any defects or inconsistencies
Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and targets
Maintain equipment through regular cleaning, maintenance and reporting of any faults or damage
What we're looking for
Trade qualification in welding, fabrication, or related field
Proven experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Strong proficiency in welding techniques and fabrication methods
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Competency in operating manufacturing machinery and hand tools safely
Knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to trades and manufacturing environments
Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Reliability and a strong, consistent work ethic
Previous experience in furniture manufacturing or a similar industry is desirable but not essential
