Sydney Home & Bathroom Renovations is a growing residential renovation company specialising in high-quality home, kitchen, bathroom, laundry and outdoor renovations across Sydney.

With multiple projects underway and continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced and confident Builder/Carpenter ready to step into a Head Builder / Project Manager position.

This isn’t a desk-based project management role.

We’re looking for someone who understands building, isn’t afraid to get on the tools when required, can confidently manage subcontractors and has the organisational and people skills to keep projects — and clients — happy.

The Role

Working closely with our Building Director, you’ll take ownership of renovation projects and oversee their day-to-day delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Running residential renovation projects from site establishment through to completion

• Coordinating and managing subcontractors and trades

• Planning works and keeping projects on schedule

• Monitoring workmanship and ensuring our quality standards are maintained

• Identifying and solving problems before they hold up a project

• Being hands-on and assisting on the tools when required

• Managing materials, deliveries and site requirements

• Maintaining clean, organised and professional worksites

• Liaising directly with homeowners and providing regular project updates

• Keeping our Building Director informed of progress, variations and issues

• Managing multiple projects at different stages across Sydney

We currently have projects in locations including Sydney CBD, Bondi Beach, Vaucluse, Barangaroo and Enfield.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who can become a key part of our business as we continue to grow.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Strong carpentry and residential building experience

• Extensive experience with renovations and remedial/problem-solving work

• Experience supervising trades and running residential projects

• Excellent practical and hands-on building skills

• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing

• The ability to read plans and coordinate trades accordingly

• Excellent organisation and time-management skills

• A proactive can-do attitude

• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail

• Confidence making decisions and solving problems on-site

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• The ability to communicate professionally with homeowners

• A current driver’s licence

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who takes ownership.

When you’re running one of our projects, we want you thinking ahead, coordinating the next trade, keeping an eye on quality and making sure our clients receive the experience they expect from us.

The Package

$120,000–$130,000 + Super

Company vehicle for the right candidate

Full-time permanent position following a successful 3-month probation period

You’ll work directly alongside our Building Director and have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as the company continues to grow.

For the right person, this is an opportunity to become a key long-term member of our management team, rather than simply another carpenter on-site.
