CNC Machinist / All Rounder

About the Position

We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist / Fitter all-rounder who doesn’t’ mind rolling their sleeves up and getting to work where required. The role will be based out of Southern division, which is in Polo Flats, just outside of Cooma.

As no two days look the same, we are after an experienced CNC Mill and CNC Lathe machinist, who is skilled in both Mastercam and Solidworks programs. Working within a busy workshop environment, you will be responsible for reading engineering drawings, maintaining high-quality standards, carrying out machine setups, and performing inspections using precision measuring equipment. Experience with manual machining, assembly work, fabrication, or general workshop operations will be highly regarded.

• Ability to set up, program and operate CNC lathes and milling machines.

• Experience with Mastercam and Solidworks programs

• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.

• Experience using precision measuring instruments and maintaining tight tolerances.

• General workshop duties including manual machining, assembly and fabrication as required.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

• Forklift licence and/or trade qualification highly regarded.

• Reliable, motivated and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
