Electrician

Findlay Electrical is looking for an experienced A-Grade Electrician who wants strong pay, varied commercial work and a permanent long-term position with an established Melbourne electrical contractor.

Based in Heidelberg West, we work with established commercial clients across Melbourne, providing electrical maintenance, fault-finding, upgrades and project works.

This isn't a role where you'll spend every day doing the same installation on the same construction site. You'll have the opportunity to work independently, solve problems, build relationships with clients and take ownership of your jobs.

The role

As one of our A-Grade Electricians, you'll work across a range of commercial sites and established client facilities.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Commercial electrical service and maintenance

• Fault-finding and electrical repairs

• Switchboard, power and lighting upgrades

• Electrical installations and project works

• Testing, commissioning and compliance

• Diagnosing problems and recommending practical solutions

• Communicating directly with clients and facility managers

• Completing job documentation accurately

• Working with and mentoring apprentices where required

• Ensuring all work meets Findlay's safety and quality standards

We want electricians who can do more than simply follow a set of drawings. If you're good at fault-finding, enjoy solving problems and take pride in leaving a job properly finished, you'll fit well with our team.

What we're looking for

You'll need:

• Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence

• Current driver's licence

• Construction Industry White Card

• Solid commercial electrical experience

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High standard of workmanship

• Strong approach to safety

• Reliability and a professional attitude when dealing with clients

Additional licences and experience such as EWP, data, communications, controls or industrial work are highly regarded but not essential.
