Purpose of the Role

We are currently seeking an inspiring leader to join us as Store Manager at Aesop South Yarra.

As a key custodian of this unique neighbourhood door, you will be responsible for driving the overall commercial success of the business, which includes overseeing our specialized facialist service offering, budgeting, store-specific marketing, and building the store's client base. Beyond commercial performance, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a genuine sense of community—actively building relationships and collaborating with neighbouring spaces and the local precinct.

Working on-site Tuesday - Satruday, you will choreograph the daily activities of a team of Retail Consultants. The successful candidate will grace this role with diligence, passion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence while championing community connection.

What we are looking for

Management experience within a customer, retail, or hospitality service environment (experience managing service-based offerings such as facialist treatments highly regarded)Proven track record of effective selling skills and ability to drive commercial outcomes in a retail or hospitality environmentStrong community-minded approach, with the ability to authentically connect with local neighbours and build meaningful partnerships across the precinctHistory of successfully leading and coaching a team, creating an inclusive and psychologically safe work environmentDemonstrated ability to utilise empathy to manage interpersonal relationshipsOpen mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectivesStrong communication, problem-solving, commercial acumen and merchandising skills
