Wholesale Operations Manager

The RoleWe’re looking for a highly organised, technically minded operator to own the operational side of Archies’ global wholesale business.Once our sales team signs a retailer, you’re the person who makes sure everything behind the scenes works.That starts with getting new retailers onboarded properly — systems, EDI, retailer requirements, account setup and order flows — and continues once they’re up and running. When a complex order hits an issue, an EDI message fails, or something doesn’t go to plan with one of our warehouse partners, you take ownership, work out what’s happened and drive it through to resolution.Ultimately, your job is simple: make Archies incredibly easy for our wholesale partners to do business with.

What You’ll OwnYou’ll be the operational point person behind our wholesale accounts, working closely with our Head of Wholesale, Head of Supply Chain, Account Managers and global 3PL partners.You’ll:Own the operational onboarding of new wholesale retailers from approval through to first order.Set up and troubleshoot EDI connections, B2B ordering and retailer-specific requirements.Make sure major wholesale orders flow through our systems and warehouse partners accurately and on time.Manage retailer compliance requirements, including ASNs, EDI requirements and associated documentation.Coordinate stock holds and other operational requirements for key accounts.Work closely with our 3PL partners to resolve fulfilment and order issues.Spot recurring friction and contribute to improving the systems and processes behind our wholesale operation.This is an execution-focused role. You won’t own the commercial relationship with the retailer — our Account Managers do that — but you’ll be the person behind the scenes making sure the operational side works exceptionally well.
About YouYou’re organised, detail-oriented and technically curious.You like understanding how systems fit together. When something goes wrong, your instinct is to investigate it rather than simply pass it on. You follow things through, communicate clearly and stay calm when there are multiple moving parts.You’ll probably enjoy this role if you’re the kind of person who notices the one field that’s wrong in a retailer setup, enjoys figuring out why an EDI order hasn’t flowed correctly, and doesn’t consider a problem solved until the order is actually out the door.Ideally, you’ll bring:Experience in wholesale operations, supply chain, B2B operations or a similar operational role.Experience working with EDI systems and complex B2B customers.Strong systems aptitude and confidence learning new technology.Experience working with 3PLs, order flows or fulfilment operations.Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.The ability to work across Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance and external partners.Footwear or apparel experience is useful, but it isn’t essential. We care more about finding a strong operator who understands systems, takes ownership and gets things done.
