Sales Administrator / Sales Support

Full Time | 8:00am – 4:00pm | Queanbeyan

Advantage Industries is an Australian family-owned manufacturer supplying steel staircases and balustrades to builders and construction companies across Australia.

We are a growing, fast-moving business and are looking for an energetic Sales Administrator to join our team.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit back and wait for work to come to them.

We're looking for someone who enjoys talking to customers, getting things done, improving the way things work and helping the wider team wherever required.

You’ll work closely with our sales and operations team, helping manage customers from initial enquiry and quotation through to order and delivery.

A big part of the role is proactive customer contact. You'll be comfortable picking up the phone, following up quotes, making outbound calls and building relationships with customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Answering incoming calls and assisting customers with enquiries

• Preparing and sending customer quotes

• Following up outstanding quotes by phone and email

• Making outbound calls to existing and prospective customers

• Keeping opportunities, activities and customer information up to date in our CRM

• Responding to customer emails quickly and professionally

• Helping customers with product, order and delivery enquiries

• Supporting the sales team with day-to-day administration

• Following up leads and sales opportunities

• Helping improve our sales and administration systems

• Creating new processes and systems where you see a better way of doing something

• Assisting with other areas of the business when required

• Occasionally travelling with the sales team or visiting customers

We're looking for someone who is energetic, switched-on and proactive.

You don't need to know everything on day one, but you do need to be keen to learn and willing to have a go.

You'll ideally be someone who:

• Is confident and keen to pick up the phone

• Enjoys talking with customers and building relationships

• Is comfortable making outbound and quote follow-up calls

• Works quickly while maintaining good attention to detail

• Is organised and follows things through to completion

• Is confident using computers, CRM systems and Microsoft Office

• Looks for ways to make systems and processes better

• Is happy working in a small business where everyone helps each other

• Is flexible and willing to take on different responsibilities when required

• Has a positive, can-do attitude

• Is comfortable occasionally getting out of the office and visiting customers

Experience in the building, construction, manufacturing or trade supply industry would be highly regarded.

Experience with Pipedrive CRM would also be an advantage, but isn't essential.
