The South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS) is seeking a motivated and organised Project Officer to coordinate the procurement, fit-out, maintenance and lifecycle management of the organisation's operational light fleet.

Working within the Operational Infrastructure & Logistics team, you will play a key role in ensuring vehicles used by CFS staff and volunteers are safe, compliant, fit for purpose and available to support emergency response across South Australia.

This role works closely with internal stakeholders, volunteers, government agencies, vehicle suppliers and contractors to deliver efficient fleet management outcomes while supporting operational capability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the procurement and replacement of CFS operational light fleet vehicles. Manage their operational fit-outs ensuring requirements are met.
• Coordinate servicing, maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
• Monitor fleet performance, utilisation and compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
• Prepare reports, correspondence and recommendations relating to fleet operations, including documentation associated with vehicle disposal and replacement.
• Liaise with vehicle suppliers, contractors and government fleet providers.
• Monitor supplier performance and contract outcomes.
• Research emerging vehicle technologies, industry trends and best practice fleet management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Infrastructure & Logistics.

Remuneration: 

AS04 - $82,212 - $86,180
