Nikola Estate is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Kitchen Hand / Prep Hand to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their experience in a professional kitchen and learn from an experienced team in a beautiful estate environment.

About the Role

Working closely with our kitchen team, you’ll assist with the day-to-day preparation and operation of the kitchen. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is reliable, energetic and keen to learn.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with basic food preparation and kitchen prep

• Washing, peeling, chopping and preparing ingredients

• Assisting chefs with preparation for service

• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen

• Washing dishes and keeping kitchen equipment and work areas clean

• Receiving and putting away kitchen supplies

• Assisting with stock rotation and storage

• Supporting the kitchen team wherever required

• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is genuinely interested in food and working in a kitchen environment

• Is reliable, punctual and has a strong work ethic

• Is willing to learn and take direction

• Has a positive, can-do attitude

• Works well as part of a team

• Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Takes pride in keeping their work area clean and organised

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is helpful
