About the role
The Credit Support Officer plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient progression of credit applications from approval through to settlement. This junior position provides essential administrative and operational support to the Credit team, with a focus on contract preparation, condition management, document coordination, and settlement.
This role is an excellent stepping stone into a career in credit, offering hands-on exposure to the end-to-end lending process.
Working alongside experienced Credit Analysts and Credit Managers, the successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of credit operations, lending documentation, and risk management, providing a solid foundation for future progression into credit assessment and analyst roles.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare legal loan contracts and supporting documentation in line with approved credit terms.Accurately enter and maintain contract and client data across relevant systems.Complete manual calculations required to support contract preparation and credit assessment.Assist in constructing deals, processing but not limited to making the final decisionManage Credit inbox. Replying and forwarding appropriate email correspondence.Email contracts and supporting documents to clients and relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.Obtain and review documents from clients to confirm that pre-settlement and post-settlement conditions have been satisfied.Check executed contracts for accuracy and completeness prior to finalisation. Keep track of all credit applications, approvals, and denials in the credit management system.Contact clients ahead of contract signing to discuss outstanding conditions and clarify contract terms and items
Experience and Skills Required:
Exceptional attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with both internal teams and external stakeholdersAbility to work under pressure and meet SLAsBasic understanding of the various business structures operating in AustraliaAt least 12 months of experience working in lending organisation within Australia, or in accounting/audit-related fieldsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent preferredAbility to proficiently manage multiple tasks at the same time
