The Opportunity

We are seeking a Psychologist to join our growing team at Monarch. This is a fulfilling specialist role at the heart of our diagnostic process, where you will lead psychological assessment, contribute to diagnostic formulation, and support families through one of the most significant moments in their child’s life.

This role suits a registered psychologist with experience in paediatric or neurodevelopmental assessment.

What You Will Be Doing

•       Leading psychological assessments as part of multidisciplinary ASD evaluations, including administration of the ADOS-2, WISC-V, VABS-3, and other standardised tools

•       Assessing cognitive functioning, adaptive behaviour, and co-occurring emotional and behavioural presentations

•       Contributing to multidisciplinary diagnostic formulation and decision-making

•       Producing high-quality written assessment reports with clear, evidence-based recommendations

•       Delivering feedback to families with clarity, sensitivity, and compassion

•       Supporting families to navigate post-diagnostic pathways including the NDIS and early intervention

•       Participating in case conferences, peer review, and team professional development

About You

•       Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA)

•       Experience in paediatric or neurodevelopmental psychological assessment

•       Strong psychometric assessment skills and report writing ability

•       ADOS-2 training is required

•       Endorsement in a relevant area of practice (or working toward endorsement) is highly regarded

•       Familiarity with NDIS processes is advantageous

•       Current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
