GM3 is inviting expressions of interest from experienced mining professionals for potential roles at Tahmoor Mine following the proposed recommencement of operations.
We are excited about the opportunity to support the next chapter of Tahmoor Mine and are looking for experienced people who would like to help build a safe, productive and sustainable operation.
Successful candidates for these roles will be employed by GM3 and are expected to be based at Tahmoor Mine following completion of the proposed acquisition.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the recommencement of a mine with a proud history, help rebuild operational capability and be part of a strong and experienced mining team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the CHPP Manager, the Site Water Based Engineer will support the safe, reliable and compliant operation of Tahmoor Mine’s water treatment facilities and gas processing plants.
This role is based at Tahmoor Mine, located in the Southern Highlands of NSW, approximately 80 kilometres south-west of Sydney and within easy commuting distance of Wollongong, the Macarthur region and surrounding communities.
Key activities include but are not limited to:
Support the safe, compliant and reliable operation of water treatment facilities and gas processing plants.
Develop, review and improve processing standards, operating procedures and control systems to ensure critical controls are in place and effective.
Monitor plant performance, analyse trends and identify improvements to systems, equipment and operating practices.
Work with maintenance coordinators to support the planning, scheduling and execution of maintenance activities.
Resolve planning conflicts, coordinate stakeholders and ensure priorities are clearly understood and actioned.
Identify and implement improvement projects that support safe, stable and sustainable plant performance.
Compile and report relevant KPIs, contribute to daily performance reviews and support corrective actions where required.
Maintain a strong focus on HSEC performance, risk management and continuous improvement across Site Water and CHPP operations.
ABOUT YOU
You are a practical and safety-focused engineering professional with experience supporting processing, water treatment, gas processing or similar operational plant environments. You bring strong technical judgement, disciplined planning capability and the ability to work effectively with operational, maintenance and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable outcomes.
What you’ll bring:
Tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in engineering, processing, water treatment, gas processing or similar operational environment.
Strong understanding of plant performance, monitoring, standards, procedures and control systems.
Ability to analyse operational data, identify improvement opportunities and implement practical solutions.
Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to align priorities and deliver outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to multi-functional teams and make sound decisions in a complex operating environment.
Strong communication, influencing and planning skills, with a commitment to safe and sustainable operations.
