We're now looking for a reliable, skilled and customer-focused Residential Window Installer / Service Technician to join our Residential team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced window installer, service technician or skilled carpenter looking for a secure, long-term position with an established Canberra business.
About the RoleWorking as part of our Residential team, you'll be responsible for the installation, servicing and rectification of aluminium windows and doors throughout Canberra and the surrounding region.
The role offers plenty of variety, including replacement windows in existing homes, new-build installations and service and rectification work.
Your responsibilities will include:
Removing existing windows and doors and preparing openings for replacement products
Installing new aluminium windows and doors into existing homes
Installing windows and doors in new residential builds
Completing finishing and associated installation work to a high standard
Working as part of an installation team to complete projects safely and efficiently
Attending residential properties to identify faults and diagnose window and door issues
Carrying out adjustments, repairs, rectification and service work
Communicating professionally with homeowners, builders and other trades
Protecting customers' homes and maintaining a clean and tidy work area
Ensuring installations and service work meet Supaglass quality standards
Maintaining an allocated service vehicle, including keeping tools, equipment, spare parts and consumables organised and appropriately stocked
Completing basic job records and communicating completed work or outstanding issues to our project team
Following workplace health and safety requirements at all times
You'll work closely with our Residential Project Manager and the wider installation team, with a combination of planned installation projects and service calls.
About YouWe're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable and enjoys working as part of a team.
Ideally, you'll have:
Previous experience installing and/or servicing aluminium windows and doors; or
Carpentry skills and practical experience that can be transferred to window and door installation
Strong practical and problem-solving skills
The ability to fault-find and identify solutions to window and door issues
Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
The ability to communicate confidently and respectfully with homeowners
A professional manner when working in customers' homes
A neat and tidy appearance
A reliable and punctual approach to work
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
A willingness to learn our products, systems and installation methods
A strong understanding of safe work practices
A current Australian driver's licence
Previous aluminium window and door experience will be highly regarded, but we're also interested in hearing from experienced carpenters or people with relevant trade skills who are keen to develop their career in the window and glazing industry.
