Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Security Team Leader to oversee security operations at our Perth Data Centre.

In this critical leadership role, you will manage day-to-day security operations, lead a high-performing frontline security team, and ensure a safe, compliant, and professional environment. You will also act as the primary escalation point for incidents and operational issues, maintaining high service standards and supporting customer-facing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage daily security operations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and professionalism across all shiftsProvide first-line leadership including performance management and team developmentAct as the primary escalation point for incidents, service requests, and operational issuesManage and maintain staff rosters in conjunction with contract security guard provider, including leave planning and short-notice coverageEnsure security coverage and operational resilience across the siteUphold front-of-house presentation standards, delivering a professional and customer-focused security serviceOversee incident management processes, ensuring timely resolution and accurate reportingMaintain strong administrative and audit standards, including record keeping and compliance documentationIdentify and drive continuous improvement in security processes, systems, and service delivery

About You

You are a confident and composed security professional with strong leadership capability and operational awareness. You thrive in critical infrastructure environments, can manage competing priorities, and understand the importance of customer experience within a secure facility.

We welcome applicants from non-traditional security backgrounds, i.e. facilities, operations, aviation, logistics, customer operations, control room, hospitality leadership, emergency response coordination, or other high-accountability environments.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a team leadership role within security, facilities, or operationsUnderstanding of incident management and physical security controlsExperience contributing to security operations within critical infrastructure, or similar regulated environmentsExcellent organisational and administrative skills, with a focus on accuracy and audit readinessAbility to lead a customer-focused security function, maintaining high service standardsStrong communication skills and sound decision-making ability under pressure

Mandatory:

Australian Citizenship (required for AGSVA security clearance)Ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA security clearance (NV1)

Highly desirable:

AGSVA security clearance – Baseline or NV1
