Our Cherrybrook Aged Care Facility is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Personal Care Workers who demonstrate a positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting the elderly. The successful candidates will join an established, dynamic, and supportive care team, delivering high-quality personal care. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to develop a career in the growing aged care sector while making a genuine difference in the lives of residents.

• Provide quality care according to the current Resident Care Plan to meet the individuals needs and enhance quality of life.

• Assist with personal care including showering, grooming, dressing and toileting

• Support residents with mobility, transfers and daily living activities

• Assist with meals, hydration and nutritional support

• Accurately document care provided and report any changes in condition

• Communicate effectively with Registered Nurses and the broader clinical team

• Promote a positive and inclusive environment for residents and families

The ideal candidate must demonstrate the below:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification

• Completion of unit: Administer and Monitor Medication HLTHPS007, highly regarded

• Demonstrated experience in an Aged Care environment and an understanding of the new Aged Act and Strengthened Standards.

• Flexibility to work across various shifts, including mornings, afternoons and nights, as well as weekends

• Cleared Police Check.

• Be cleared in the Aged Care Banning Order register.

• MUST have proof of work rights in Australia.

• Up to date immunization including influenza and Covid 19.

• Willingness to undertake a psychometric skills assessment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to provide a person-centred approach to care that is safe, of value to the resident and provides the ideal customer experience.

• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
