Job Title: YOS Meraki EngineerLocation: Sydney, Australia (Hybrid/Onsite)Employment Type: ContractExperience: 8+ YearsRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced YOS Meraki Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco Meraki-based network environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing network solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, configure, and support Cisco Meraki network infrastructure, including MX Security Appliances, MS Switches, MR Wireless Access Points, and SD-WAN solutions.Manage and administer Cisco Meraki Dashboard, including monitoring, reporting, and policy management.Perform network implementation, migration, upgrades, and optimization activities.Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, wireless, routing, switching, VPN, and security issues.Configure and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and VPN technologies.Implement and maintain network security policies, firewall rules, content filtering, IDS/IPS, and secure remote access.Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of network services.Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers where required.Support change management processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.Required Skills & Experience8+ years of experience in enterprise networking with strong hands-on expertise in Cisco technologies.Proven experience with Cisco Meraki solutions, including MX, MS, MR, SD-WAN, and Meraki Dashboard administration.Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, VPNs, QoS, and Wireless LAN technologies.Experience with enterprise firewall and network security concepts.Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN design, implementation, and troubleshooting.Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools.Experience working in large enterprise or managed services environments.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification.Cisco Meraki Solutions certifications (ECMS1/ECMS2 or equivalent).Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA Center, or other enterprise networking solutions.Exposure to Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud networking.Experience with network automation using Python, APIs, or Ansible is desirable.ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.Key CompetenciesStrong customer focusExcellent stakeholder managementEffective communication and collaborationAttention to detailProblem-solving and analytical thinkingAbility to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
