Veolia is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to connect our Operations and Maintenance team with the client’s Project Management Office across major wastewater renewals and capital projects in Wellington, New Zealand.
You’ll bring sound operational judgement, influence key technical decisions and translate complex information into clear, practical advice for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Act as the technical link between Veolia’s operational teams and the client’s project teamReview project designs and specifications from an operational, maintenance and compliance perspectiveMake informed technical recommendations and identify operational risksRepresent operational requirements with internal, client and contractor stakeholdersTranslate complex technical information into clear advice for different audiencesContribute to project planning, risk assessments, operational readiness and commissioningEnsure new and upgraded assets are safe, practical and ready for service

Significant operational and engineering experience in wastewater treatmentStrong technical judgement and the confidence to make informed decisionsProven ability to influence stakeholders and translate between technical and non technical audiences
