The consultant will design and deploy customer-order fulfillment processes that support OEM releases, customer schedules, cumulative quantity management, just-in-time delivery, just-in-sequence fulfillment, shipment execution, customer compliance, and end-to-end order-to-cash integration. Key Responsibilities
• Lead Order Management and automotive release-management discovery workshops with customer service, sales, scheduling, plant operations, logistics, shipping, finance, and IT stakeholders.
• Document current-state and future-state order-to-cash processes, including OEM releases, firm and forecast demand, shipping schedules, order changes, shipment confirmation, billing, returns, and customer claims.
• Design Oracle Fusion Order Management processes for sales orders, fulfillment lines, orchestration, holds, jeopardy management, split shipments, substitutions, backorders, returns, and fulfillment exceptions.
• Define the future-state approach for receiving and processing customer releases, including forecast schedules, firm schedules, frozen zones, schedule revisions, shipment authorization, and demand-change controls.
• Lead design for automotive cumulative quantity processes, including shipped CUM, customer-authorized CUM, received CUM, CUM reset dates, CUM reconciliation, and discrepancy-resolution procedures.
• Partner with EDI and integration teams to support inbound OEM releases and outbound order acknowledgments, ASNs, invoices, shipment status, and other customer-facing transactions.
• Define business rules for shipping windows, partial shipments, over-shipments, under-shipments, shipment-complete requirements, premium freight, expedites, and customer-specific fulfillment constraints.
• Integrate Order Management with Inventory, Manufacturing, Supply Planning, WMS, Transportation, EDI, Accounts Receivable, and external OEM portals.
• Design processes for customer-specific labeling, ASN compliance, packaging rules, routing instructions, and shipping documentation.
• Create functional design documents, process maps, configuration workbooks, test scenarios, training materials, cutover plans, and hypercare procedures.
• Lead SIT, UAT, end-to-end testing, integration testing, release-change testing, CUM reconciliation testing, and go-live stabilization.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of Oracle Order Management implementation experience.
• 3+ years of Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management implementation or support experience.
• 5+ years of automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplier, or automotive manufacturing order-fulfillment experience.
• Deep understanding of automotive release-management concepts, including 830 planning schedules, 862 shipping schedules, forecast demand, firm demand, release revisions, and customer authorizations.
• Strong knowledge of CUM concepts, including shipped CUM, received CUM, authorized CUM, CUM reset, CUM reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution.
• Experience integrating Oracle Order Management with Inventory, Manufacturing, WMS, Transportation, EDI, Supply Planning, and Accounts Receivable.
• Experience with Oracle Release Management, Oracle EBS Release Management, or automotive-specific release-management solutions.
• Experience with OEM customer portals, customer-specific labels, ASNs, routing guides, and customer scorecards.
• Understanding of JIT, JIS, sequenced delivery, OEM delivery windows, premium freight, and plant-to-customer fulfillment operations.
• Strong workshop facilitation, business-process design, documentation, testing, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% within the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting multi-plant, multi-business-unit, multi-legal-entity, or cross-border automotive operations.
• Familiarity with AIAG terminology, automotive EDI, packaging standards, and customer shipping compliance requirements.
