As we prepare for a major redevelopment project, we are seeking a dedicated Maintenance General Hand to help maintain our current facilities and ensure a safe and pleasant environment for our visitors during this transitional period.

Job Description:

• General Maintenance: Perform routine and urgent maintenance tasks including painting, minor carpentry, plumbing repairs, and general upkeep of the marina’s existing, albeit aging, facilities.

• Facility Repairs: Address maintenance issues promptly, focusing on keeping the facilities safe and operational despite their run-down condition.

• Groundskeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the marina grounds, ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe environment for staff and marina guests.

• Customer Service: Interact with marina guests and boat owners in a courteous and professional manner, assisting with any maintenance-related inquiries.

• Equipment Care: Assist in the upkeep of marina equipment to ensure it remains functional and safe for use.

• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage maintenance supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and placing orders as needed.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the marina team to coordinate maintenance activities and support overall marina operations during this period.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role, preferably within a marina or marine environment.

• Skills: Proficiency in general maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and equipment repair.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently.

• Communication: Good communication skills with the ability to interact positively with colleagues and marina guests.

• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and be on-call for emergencies as needed
