Mickleham Healthcare values ethical practice, professional development, and evidence-based approaches to care, offering team members a supportive and growth-oriented work environment.Role Description The Occupational Therapist will assess clients’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to improve daily functioning and independence. Day-to-day tasks include conducting comprehensive assessments, delivering therapeutic activities, planning and monitoring rehabilitation programs, and documenting clinical notes and progress reports. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, liaising with families and caregivers, and providing education on strategies, equipment, and environmental modifications. The Occupational Therapist will also participate in case conferences, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and maintain professional standards and regulatory compliance.QualificationsStrong foundation in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to design and deliver individualized treatment plans.Knowledge of Medicine and broader healthcare principles to work effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.Excellent Communication skills to collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare teams, and to produce clear documentation.Experience or interest in Pediatrics to support children and young people with developmental, physical, or psychosocial needs.Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body.Demonstrated ability to work ethically, manage caseloads, and prioritize tasks in a clinical setting.Familiarity with assistive technologies, functional assessments, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.CPR and first aid certification, and experience in community or hospital-based practice are beneficial.
