About Us
We are a leading supplier of various European equipment for premium wineries and craft breweries – our technical team install, maintain, and service the automated machinery and winemaking equipment we supply
The Role
This position will split your time between workshop/factory-based work at our Thomastown site and field service at client sites. Your primary focus will be keeping high-speed packaging lines and winery processing equipment running at peak efficiency.
This position emphasizes strong electrical troubleshooting together with mechanical experience with pumps and similar equipment. Our clients are spread out across major wine regions, you will occasionally travel to support installations and emergency breakdowns on-site, working away from home for short periods.
Key Responsibilities
· Factory & Workshop Operations: Testing, repairs, pre-commissioning, and maintenance at our Thomastown factory
· Electrical & Automation: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical faults on beverage machinery.
· PLC Programming: Connect to, diagnose, and modify PLC programs to optimize line performance.
· Fluid Handling & Pumps: Service, rebuild and troubleshoot various types of pumps common to brewing and winemaking (e.g., centrifugal, positive displacement, rotary lobe) and manage fluid transfer systems.
· Field Support & Travel: Travel to regional client sites for installations, commissioning, and scheduled maintenance intervals.
What We Are Looking For
· A strong electrical background (relevant trade qualification or equivalent field experience).
· Ability to read complex diagrams, P&IDs, and manuals to troubleshoot problems on our equipment machines
· Ability.to conduct pump/equipment maintenance.
· Comfortable handling mechanical repairs.
· A self-starter who thrives under pressure, works well in a factory team environment, and enjoys the autonomy of field work.
· A valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
· Exposure to refrigeration chillers and glycol systems advantageous but not essential
