About the role
Racing NSW is the statutory body for horse racing in NSW. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated Administrative Support Officer to join our dynamic Team Thoroughbred NSW Training Academy in head office, with around 70 other employees who perform functions across our various departments.
This role provides administrative assistance to the Executive Officer to[FW1.1] support smooth day to day operations. The Administrative Support Officer plays a key role in maintaining accurate records, coordinating information and supporting compliance-related processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting reporting and data management requirements in line with relevant policy and procedure guidelines
- Assist with compliance documentation, record keeping and file maintenance.
- Assist with event coordination, promotion and enrolments
- Providing high-quality customer service via phone, email and in person if needed.
The right individual will receive ongoing training toward developing their career.
The successful applicant will ideally possess the below attributes:
- Previous industry experience and/or experience in an administrative or office support role
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience working with databases, student management systems, or learning platforms (desirable but not essential).
- The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to identify issues or inconsistencies and follow processes to resolution.
- A professional, proactive, and confident approach to work in an agile environment.
Applicants must have excellent reporting skills and a commitment to skills development for the industry. You must be able to work from a Sydney CBD office location Monday to Friday during business hours (8:30am to 5pm).
