QC Support Officer

About the role

An exciting new role has been created within Quality Control as the QC Support Officer. As the role title implies, you will be responsible for a number of duties that will directly support both the sampling and testing functions of Quality Control. The role will provide a significant contribution towards the department meeting its customer service metrics associated with packaging / raw material and finished product release.

Specifically, the QC Support Officer role is responsible for:

• Goods receipt labelling for all starting materials
• Weekly waste tank level monitoring (and sampling as required)
• Collection and destruction of pharmaceutical waste in accordance with company procedure
• Cleaning of sampling rooms as required
• Dispatch of all outbound samples (chemical, microbiological and stability)
• Daily facility pressure differential readings
• Bi-weekly purified water system sampling and associated data entry
• Monthly environmental monitoring and associated data entry
• Conducting routine stock takes of laboratory reagents to ensure reagents are available when required
• Preparation of certificates of analysis for finished products when requested
• Disposal of laboratory rejects in accordance with company procedure
• Retention sample management

To succeed in this position, you will:

• Possess strong organisational skills
• Require strong communication skills
• Need a high level of attention to detail

Criteria:

• Completion of TEE Level schooling or equivalent (Grade 12),
• 12 months plus experience in a pharmaceutical environment or equivalent is desirable.
• Effective general office and computer skills
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Forklift licence
