Happy Explorers Learning Academy in Cecil Hills is seeking an enthusiastic Permanent Part Time Centre Cook.

The Role:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Part-Time Childcare Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritionally balanced meals, placing food orders and assisting the Centre Manager with the food budget. Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen, ensuring that food is sorted, handled and stored properly and the appropriate records are maintained.

The position available is:

- Permanent Part-Time

- Monday to Friday

- Hours are 7.00am- 3.00pm (however these are flexible)

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:

Preparing morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for our Child Care Centre.

Proven ability to comply with and be responsible for Safe Health and Hygiene Practices in the preparation, serving and storage of meals

Completing the appropriate food checks required

Coordinating with the Centre Manager in regards to the budget.

To be successful in this role you will:

Have previous experience working within a kitchen preferably within a Childcare setting;

Awareness of the guidelines set by the NSW Food Authority;

Have professional and friendly communication skills;

Be an excellent team player with self-motivation and the ability to work independently;

Have good time management skills;

Make adjustments to meals to cater for different dietary requirements;

Have a flexible and enthusiastic attitude;

Be able to multitask;

Qualifications in Food Handling;

Knowledge and understanding of allergies and dietary requirements;

Maintain a clean and hygienic environment;

Have a current Working with Children's Check;

Preferred Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, but not essential.
