The Role

As the Associate Mechanical Engineer and Discipline Lead, you’ll be a pivotal part of the team, responsible for:
 
Team Leadership: Guiding a multidisciplinary team of engineers in close collaboration with architects, builders, and project managers.

Mentorship & Development: Growing, mentoring, and developing a high-performing Mechanical team.
 
Business Development: Partnering with the director to drive client engagement, marketing, and new business opportunities.

Project Delivery: Leading HVAC design, including plans, specifications, and compliance calculations.
 
Site Involvement: Overseeing inspections, testing, and commissioning of HVAC installations.
 
Quality Assurance: Taking a lead role in the QA and verification of mechanical designs across the team.
 
 
The Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with Chartered or Professional Engineer registration
• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects, including financial and coordination aspects
• Expertise in HVAC system design within an Australian building services consultancy or Mechanical Contractor
• Experience with business development, including marketing and fee proposal writing
• A passion for mentoring and developing engineers
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Full Australian work rights
