About The Role

As a Fitter /Fitter Armourer, you will use your highly detailed workmanship to inspect, repair, and recondition military hardware. It will be your responsibility to provide direct embedded support and teamwork with Defence and Defence training activities to ensure hardware is functional and training objectives are achieved.

Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenanceSafely operate machinery to repair, manufacture or modify required partsCertify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purposeAbility to travel as required for training and upskillingProvide occasional support to various Defence Bases across the state assisting with maintenance. All travel, accommodation and Food paid for!

About You

Possess a recognised Fitter and Turner Trade or Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical or equivalentExperience with small engines and hydraulic equipment (rock breakers, power packs, etc.)Strong aptitude for technology and computer-based systemsMR or HR License - DesirablePhysically fit and enjoy hands-on workMust be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
