Welder

About the role

This is a hands-on workshop position suited to an experienced welder/fabricator who can work independently and takes pride in producing consistent & quality work. The initial position is casual, with the potential to move into full-time work. You'll be working with stainless steel and mild steel fabrication for commercial bakery and food proceasing products.

Key responsibilities

• Fabrication of tube racks, frames, trolleys and other food equipment

• MIG welding of stainless steel and mild steel

• Fitting and fabrication work

• Finishing, grinding and fitting components after welding

• Maintaining a high standard of quality and workmanship

About you

• Trade qualification or equivalent

• Proven experience in welding fitting and fabrication

• Experience with stainless steel welding

• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship

• Able to work independently

• Ability to work safely and maintain a clean and organised workshop
