Kick-start your physiotherapy career with a structured New Graduate Program in one of Queensland’s largest regional health services. As a Graduate Physiotherapist, you will gain experience across a range of clinical rotations, building your skills in a supportive multidisciplinary environment focused on patient care, learning and professional development. Working alongside experienced clinicians, you will develop a strong clinical foundation while delivering high-quality care to diverse communities across the region.About us:
The Physiotherapy Service at Cairns Hospital is a large and progressive regional service comprising approximately 72 Physiotherapy and Allied Health Assistant positions across Cairns Hospital, Oregon Street Campus and Gordonvale Memorial Hospital. We provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient care across a broad range of specialties, including medical, surgical, emergency, critical care, rehabilitation, orthopaedics, oncology, paediatrics, women's health, neurology, aged care and cardiovascular services, supporting communities across Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS), as well as Cape York and the Torres Strait.

The service has a strong research culture, supports staff participation in higher degree studies and project work, and offers opportunities to work within advanced and extended scope models of care, including primary contact outpatient clinics, pelvic health services, Emergency Department physiotherapy and prescribing initiatives, and innovative service delivery models.
