About the role

We have a part-time hybrid opportunity (25 hours per week, 0.67FTE) for a Customer Service and Sales Consultant at our Mackay Store, QLD.

As the face of Medibank in your area, you will:

• Help customers choose the right health cover and services.
• Support them across multiple channels – in-store, over the phone, online, and in the community.
• Build lasting relationships and trust through personalised conversations.
• Solve everyday challenges and share ideas to improve how we work.

This role includes a flexible rotating roster working Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work during peak periods. The working hours rotate between 8am – 6pm, or 8am – 8pm during peak periods.

Internally referred to as a Local Community Consultant, you will be a part of a geographically based, cross-functional teams, with a shared goal to build stronger community connections, deepen trust, and deliver more personalised support in your area.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need health insurance experience – we’ll teach you that. If you have skills in customer service, sales, health, retail, or community engagement, you could be a great addition to our team. Experience working within a contact centre environment or phone based role is also highly advantageous for this position.
