Molycop is a global market leader in the manufacture and supply of grinding media, mining chemicals, and rail consumables. Molycop’s international footprint extends from Australia globally to over 400 mines across 40 countries and has 12 manufacturing plants as well as many offices in areas as diverse as Africa, South America, USA, Canada, Indonesia, Singapore and Europe.
Molycop is also involved in minerals processing digital technology and we are further expanding these technologies by developing and acquiring various process optimisation solutions. Molycop's dedication to innovation and its position as an industry frontrunner have resulted in solutions that have been implemented on many mines globally to deliver improvements in sustainability, throughput, recovery and efficiency. An opportunity has arisen to join our Gold Team in Western Australia, collaborating with teams in Canada, USA and the South Americas.
The successful candidate, with between 3-5 years’ experience, and a degree in Electronics / Chemical engineering or equivalent, and units in control systems will have: In-depth experience in all aspects of analysers, instruments and process control solutions and has applied chemical and process engineering principles to mineral recovery circuits including comminution, flotation, leaching and smelting processes. 3-5 years’ experience conducting plant visits and providing engineering support for mineral processing operations, installation, commissioning, testing, problem solving, repairing and maintenance of online analysers. Online monitoring experience of solutions via an IIoT platform.
Proven data analysis and interpretation to solve unique problems and to optimize clients’ circuits. Produced technical documents and reports, e.g. commissioning reports and conference papers. Experience in technical and sales presentations with potential clients and prepare technical proposals and bids.
Assisted with manufacturing and upgrade design of instruments. Some experience with Advanced Process Control and/or data analytics. Experience monitoring plant performance and analysing operational data to identify process inefficiencies, diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective engineering solutions.
Developed and applied data analytics and data-driven methodologies to improve process performance, operational efficiency and recovery optimisation. Participated in research and development projects involving advanced instrumentation, automation, process control systems and AI technologies for mineral processing applications.
