About the role
Doolee is a leading civil construction company operating across Australia, with offices in WA and NSW, delivering complex, high-quality infrastructure projects across a diverse range of sectors. We are currently seeking experienced Boilermakers and Plumbers to join our site teams and contribute to the safe, high-quality delivery of our projects.
Position OverviewAt Doolee you'll take on a hands-on role delivering our projects on site, reporting to the Site Supervisor. You'll work across a variety of project types and scopes, applying your skills to civil, structural, mechanical and services work. The role requires experienced tradespeople who are comfortable working in demanding site environments, including remote locations.
Key ResponsibilitiesBoilermakers
Fabricate, assemble, weld and install structural steel, pipework, tanks and associated metalwork to drawings and specifications.
Carry out welding across a range of processes to relevant Australian standards.
Interpret engineering drawings, weld maps and inspection and test plans, completing work to required quality and inspection standards.
Undertake on-site structural and plant repairs and modifications as required.
Work with steel and stainless-steel pipework and associated fabrication.
Carry out pipefitting and flange management activities as required.
Plumbers
Lay, joint, install and test civil pipework.
Set out and install pipe runs to correct line, level and grade from drawings and specifications.
Carry out pressure/hydrostatic testing, commissioning, fault-finding and rectification on site.
Undertake pipefitting and flange management across steel, stainless steel and HDPE pipework.
All trades
Comply with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements across differing project types.
Coordinate with supervisors, other trades and subcontractors to keep work progressing to program.
Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
Operate plant and equipment where appropriately ticketed and required.
Boilermakers
Minimum 5 years' experience post-trade qualification.
Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent recognised trade qualification).
Demonstrated structural steel and/or pipework fabrication and welding experience, ideally in a civil, construction, mining or heavy industry setting.
Experience with pipefitting and flange management.
Experience working with steel and stainless-steel pipework.
Current welding tickets/qualifications to relevant AS/NZS standards well regarded.
Plumbers
Minimum 5 years' experience post-trade qualification.
Certificate III in Plumbing (or equivalent recognised trade qualification).
Demonstrated experience across civil, infrastructure, mining or commercial plumbing works.
Experience with HDPE/polyethylene pipework and pipe jointing.
Current poly welding tickets are essential, including butt welding and electrofusion (EF).
Experience with pipefitting and flange management.
All trades
Minimum 5 years' experience post-trade qualification.
Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
Current Working at Heights ticket is essential.
Mining experience is highly regarded.
Strong health and safety awareness, including familiarity with SWMS, JHA and Take 5 processes.
Proactive, self-motivated approach with strong problem-solving skills.
Additional site tickets such as confined space, EWP, dogging/rigging and forklift are highly regarded.
Plant/operator tickets are beneficial, including excavator, skid steer, telehandler and HR.
Ability to work a FIFO roster and adapt to remote work conditions.
