Some of your core functions include:

• Assess development applications, scheme amendments, structure plans, local development plans, subdivisions and clearances.
• Apply relevant legislation and the State and local planning framework, in assisting residents, stakeholders and community organisations on planning matters.
• Undertake local planning policy review and development to guide future growth.
• Participate in the development of strategic council projects, including project management, stakeholder engagement and urban design.

Our preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:

• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to excellent customer service.
• View Planning as a function based upon collaboration with the community.
