About the role

The Spatial Systems Developer undertakes work to deliver Location Services functions including:

• specialised and customised integration of imagery and location information
• analysis and integration of spatial data in appropriate imagery and geographic information systems and;
• data extraction and delivery.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Demonstrated experience designing, developing and supporting enterprise applications, including the integration of spatial databases and microservices services to deliver scalable and secure solutions. 
• Demonstrated knowledge of high-availability system design, operational support, monitoring, disaster recovery and resilience practices to ensure business-critical services remain secure, reliable and performant.
• Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, improve system performance and contribute to the ongoing modernisation of technology solutions.
• Demonstrated experience deploying, configuring and supporting applications within cloud and containerised environments, including the implementation of automated deployment, monitoring and support practices. 

While not essential, it’s desirable if you can demonstrate:

• Previous experience designing, developing and supporting enterprise geospatial, web mapping technologies.

This selection process is with reference to one full-time permanent vacancy, however part-time arrangements may be considered. Further offers may be made as other similar (permanent or fixed term) role arise
