Lead Safe, Profitable and High-Performing Mining Operations

At Perenti Contract Mining, we deliver world-class mining services across multiple commodities, geographies and operating environments. Our success is built on strong partnerships, operational excellence, innovation and an unwavering commitment to safety.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Leader to provide strategic direction across a portfolio of mining projects, ensuring exceptional safety performance, commercial outcomes, client satisfaction and operational excellence.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping the success of multiple operations while developing the next generation of mining leaders.

About the Opportunity

As Operations Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of projects and Project Managers, driving performance across safety, operational delivery, commercial outcomes, workforce capability and client relationships.

You will play a critical role in optimising resources, managing risk, supporting growth opportunities and ensuring projects consistently deliver against contractual and financial commitments. With a strategic outlook spanning one to three years, you will help position both our clients and business for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all company, client and regulatory requirements.
• Lead portfolio performance to achieve production, productivity and financial targets while optimising P&L outcomes.
• Identify, manage and mitigate operational, commercial and safety risks to ensure sustainable project performance.
• Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, innovation and effective resource utilisation.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to Project Managers and operational leaders, building strong succession pipelines.
• Foster a high-performing, inclusive culture centred on accountability, collaboration and continuous growth.
• Build and maintain strong client, stakeholder and community relationships, ensuring trusted partnerships and long-term value creation.
• Support business growth through commercial leadership, contract management and the identification of new opportunities.

About You

You are a respected mining leader with a strong track record of delivering safe, profitable and sustainable operational outcomes across complex environments.

• Demonstrated success leading multiple mining operations or large-scale projects.
• Strong operational and technical mining knowledge.
• Proven commercial, contractual and financial acumen.
