About the role
Eligibility: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain and maintain an active Australian Government Defence security clearance at the level required for the position.
A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics professional. In this role you will support the development of the Supply Support Constituent Capability and Centre of Excellence through process development, provision of subject matter expert advice, guidance, execution and governance. Provide specialist logistics support to assist Bids and Proposal activities including estimates and authoring of AUSDEFCON artefacts. You will also support Acquisition and Sustainment Programs in the delivery of Supply Support best for enterprise outcomes through application of direct support and SME advice.
Responsibilties include (but are not limited to):
Specific provision of logistic support services including spares management, support for quotations, tracking of deep level maintenance repairs, calibration of Test Equipment and develop contracted reporting as required. Manage and update Supply Support Policy and procedure documents to ensure fit for purpose and satisfying business requirements.
Provide support and guidance to the Supply Support Capability Lead.
Provide specialist advice and guidance to establish new Program logistics footprint in order to meet Customer requirements and contractual obligations
Deliver and ensure Supply Support policies and procedures are being complied with and provide Corporate Governance for the Sustainment Function
Coordination of LMA or Customer owned items using SAP S4 Hanna, Microsoft Dynamics or similar Inventory Management Systems
Lead and support Bids and Proposal activities including authoring and reviewing of AUSDEFCON artefacts
Lead implementation effort for new systems as a result of 1LMx Digital Transformation and design and implementation of other software systems
Ensure the upkeep and compliance of LMA Supply Support Policies and Procedures
Lead and manage Supply Support personnel and provide supervision and leadership to support logistics activities
Raise, track and report on the status of purchase requests for inventory required to support LMA Supply Support activities.
Manage and identify opportunities for in-country repair and/or production capability for LMA products
To be successful you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:
Extensive experience in Defence or similar logistics areas including Inventory Control, Asset Management, Supply Chain and Procurement experience
Significant understanding of the application and execution Maintenance and/or Sustainment Engineering
Extensive experience in authoring Defence AUSDEFCON Documents and Tender responses
Excellent ability to mentor and guide other members within a Supply Support Organisation.
