Senior Organisational Change Manager

Canberra ACT | 6-month contract | Federal Government | September start

Pryan is seeking an experienced Senior Organisational Change Manager to support a major Federal Government digital and technology environment in Canberra.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced change professional who can work closely with project teams, business areas, senior leaders and impacted stakeholders to support the successful adoption of new systems, processes and ways of working.

The successful candidate will work across digital and ICT initiatives, helping translate technology change into practical business outcomes through structured change planning, stakeholder engagement, readiness assessment, communications, training and transition activities.

The role

You will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing practical organisational change management strategies and plans for ICT and digital transformation initiatives.

• Applying structured change methodologies such as PROSCI, ADKAR or equivalent.

• Undertaking stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments and business readiness assessments.

• Identifying change impacts, risks, resistance, adoption requirements and implementation priorities.

• Developing communications, engagement, training and adoption activities.

• Facilitating workshops and stakeholder sessions with business and technology teams.

• Working closely with project managers, business owners, subject matter experts and senior executives.

• Integrating change activities into Agile, iterative, release and implementation planning.

• Monitoring change readiness, adoption, risks and issues.

• Preparing governance reports, executive briefings and change management artefacts.

• Supporting transition to business-as-usual, knowledge transfer, sustainment and post-implementation adoption.

About you

We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience delivering organisational change within ICT, digital transformation or business improvement programs.

You will ideally bring:

• Strong experience developing and delivering organisational change strategies and plans.

• Practical experience with PROSCI/ADKAR or comparable change methodologies.

• Demonstrated stakeholder analysis, change impact assessment and business readiness experience.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.

• Experience producing high-quality change plans, communication materials, engagement plans, training/adoption plans and readiness reports.

• Confidence working with senior leaders, business owners, project teams and diverse stakeholder groups.

• Experience supporting change within Agile, iterative or hybrid delivery environments.

• Strong written communication and executive briefing skills.

• Experience supporting transition to BAU, sustainment and benefits realisation.

Experience working within Australian Government ICT or digital transformation programs will be highly regarded.

Contract details

• Location: Canberra, ACT

• Duration: Initial 6-month contract

• Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week

• Working arrangements: Primarily onsite in Canberra, with flexible arrangements potentially available by agreement

• Expected commencement: September 2026

• Security: Candidates must be able to obtain an Australian Government Baseline security clearance
