Mechanical Fitters - DIDO

Who We Are: 
Mining Maintenance and Fabrication Services is a WA owned and operated business offering our clients a full range of mining solutions, equipment maintenance, repairs and local, FIFO Labour Hire.

MMFS is currently seeking 2 x Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitters for a DIDO opportunity at Golden Grove to assist with the servicing and rebuild of primary ventilation fans.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for ongoing ad-hoc work, with servicing scheduled approximately 1–3 days per month.

Initial Project
Dates: 31 August – 2 September 2026
  
Travel & Work Schedule

• Monday, 31 August: Drive to site and arrive by 6:00pm.
• Tuesday, 1 September:
• 1 x Mechanical Fitter to complete a 6:00am induction and commence day shift.
• 1 x Mechanical Fitter to complete a 6:00pm induction and commence night shift.
• Wednesday, 2 September: Drive home.

Scope of Work

• Rebuild sections of primary ventilation fans.
• Complete mechanical servicing and maintenance tasks.
• Work safely alongside the Minetek team.
• Use hand and power tools to complete repairs and rebuilds.

To Be Successful You Will Have

• Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate.
• Previous experience carrying out mechanical maintenance on underground fans or rebuilds
• Basic Tooling 
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
• Willingness to complete all required online inductions before mobilisation.
• A current National Police Clearance issued within the last 3–6 months.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

What's on Offer

• Day Shift Rate: $70.00 per hour
• Night Shift Rate: $75.00 per hour
• Weekly Pay
• Paid travel to and from site.
• On-site accommodation provided.
• Company Prado ute supplied for travel to and from site and while on site.
• Ongoing ad-hoc work available (approximately 1–3 days per month)
