Translator (Language Technology)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Translator (Language Technology) to join our team. This role combines professional English-Chinese translation with the use of modern language technologies to support high-quality, efficient multilingual communication.

The successful candidate will translate and review a wide range of content, maintain terminology resources, evaluate technology-assisted translations, and contribute to improving translation workflows. The role requires strong language skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with emerging language technologies under human supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate written content between English and Chinese.

• Review, edit and proofread translations to ensure accuracy and consistency.

• Localise content for different audiences and cultural contexts.

• Maintain terminology databases, glossaries and style guides.

• Conduct translation quality assurance and consistency checks.

• Evaluate and refine technology-assisted translation outputs.

• Assist with the development and improvement of translation workflows and language technology tools.

• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver high-quality language services.

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Demonstrated experience in English-Chinese translation.

• Excellent written communication skills in both English and Chinese.

• Strong editing, proofreading and quality assurance skills.

• Experience using translation software or language technology tools.

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Desirable

• NAATI certification or a related translation qualification.

• Experience with translation memory or localisation tools.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted translation technologies and multilingual content management.
