The opportunity
Wollongong City Council is looking for a customer-focused Technology Support Officer to join our Technology Support team. This role sits at the heart of Council IMT services, acting as the first point of contact for employees seeking technology assistance and ensuring they receive timely, professional and effective support.
More than just a technical role, we are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, enjoys solving problems and is genuinely passionate about technology, with a proactive approach to learning new skills, exploring emerging technologies and staying engaged with evolving industry trends. You will work across a wide range of systems, devices and locations, supporting the 1800 + employees who deliver essential services to our community every day.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with IT support experience who wants to broaden their skills, work in a collaborative environment and build a career in technology.
This is an on-site position with regular travel to other Council facilities. Core hours for this role vary between 8:00am to 5:00pm; however, on occasion and on a rotating basis, you may be required to start earlier and provide support at other Council sites, including depots and operational facilities. Applicants must be physically capable of undertaking manual tasks relating to the role as outlined in the job description.
This is a permanent full time 35 hour per week position. Salary from$91,924 up to $100,110 per annum plus superannuation. (Salary package will be assessed based on skills, experience and qualifications)
