Your role

As an Access Network Engineer with a specialised focus on introducing AI & Automation to solution engineering and the delivery lifecycle, you will play a key role in building and scaling AI & Automation-powered engineering capabilities that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance decision-making across design, testing, and deployment workflows.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on delivering real, production-grade solutions—from AI assistants to end-to-end automation pipelines—that will be used daily by engineering teams, transforming the way they design, test, and deploy network solutions.

You Will Play a Key Role In

Developing AI assistants to support engineering teams, including backlog management, development, test, knowledge retrieval, troubleshooting, and insights generation.Implementing “human-in-the-loop” models to ensure accuracy and trust, while ensuring security and responsible AI standards are followed.Building solutions leveraging existing Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) & machine learning models for analysis and prediction.Identifying and automating repetitive or manual processes across design, test, and deployment workflows

Your profile

6+ years in Layer 2 & 3 network engineering and solution development, with hands-on experience in building automation or AI/ML solutionsHands on experience building automation workflows, scripts, or pipelines.Hands-on experience with AI/ML or Generative AI technologies (LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG)Experience building AI assistants and managing the lifecycle of the assistantsCI/CD and DevOps practices (e.g. Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Python, ArgoCD)Exposure in one or both the below areas:FTTx Access Network: GPON/XGSPON (OLT, ONT), Intent Based NetworkingFTTx EMS Applications: Containerised (AAC), Virtualised (ACS, AMS),
