Experienced Restoration Technician – Insurance Restoration

We're looking for an experienced Restoration Technician to join our Bendigo team. This role suits someone with genuine water-damage/restoration experience who can work independently, take ownership of jobs onsite and help set the standard as our Bendigo operation grows.

Amtec works across residential and commercial properties following water damage, mould, fire, and other insured events. No two days are quite the same, and our technicians play an important role in helping customers get their properties back to normal.

What you'll be doing

As a Restoration Technician your work may include:

• Attending residential and commercial insurance restoration jobs

• Water extraction and water damage mitigation

• Structural drying and installation of drying equipment

• Mould remediation and containment

• Assisting with fire and other restoration works

• Contents handling, inventory, and relocation

• Identifying site hazards and maintaining safe work areas

• Completing site documentation, photographs, and reports

• Communicating professionally with customers, Project Managers and other trades

• Setting up, monitoring, and maintaining restoration equipment

• Supporting and mentoring developing technicians where required

About you

• Has previous experience in restoration, water damage, mould remediation or a similar industry

• Understands the importance of accurate documentation

• Can work independently and make sensible decisions onsite

• Takes pride in completing work properly

• Communicates well with customers and colleagues

• Is reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a changing environment

• Has a strong focus on safety

• Holds a current driver's license

• Able to safely perform the physical requirements of the role, with reasonable adjustments where applicable.

The ideal candidate would hold at least 1 IICRC qualification and have minimum 2 years of restoration experience.
