Your impact
At Jacobs, our water business provides the full spectrum of consulting services from advisory and adaptative pathway planning through to engineering design and asset management - our scientists, engineers, planners and community engagement teams work collaboratively with clients, communities, traditional owners and tangata whenua to find the right solutions to their water challenges. Whether it’s treating, distributing or storing water, Jacobs reaches across boundaries and collaborates to successfully deliver customised innovative solutions.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Intern Water Resources Engineer to join our Melbourne Water Resources team this summer.
In this role, you'll support a range of water resources projects across flood modelling, flood risk assessment, catchment and drainage studies, and waterway management initiatives. You'll gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers and consultants, contributing to real-world projects that help communities better understand and manage water-related challenges.
You'll be involved in technical analysis, data interpretation, reporting, and project delivery activities while developing your understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, floodplain management, and water resources engineering principles. Most importantly, you'll be supported by a collaborative team committed to your development, providing mentoring and guidance throughout your internship.
Here's what you'll need
Ideally, you're in your penultimate year of university studying Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with an interest in water resources.

Our Summer Internship Program
