Injury Response Officer

About the Role

The Injury Response Coordinator is the first point of contact for workplace injury notifications and supports injured workers, employers and stakeholders through the early stages of the injury management process. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop a career in injury management, workers compensation, occupational rehabilitation and workplace health and safety.

Injury Reporting & Customer Support

·       Receive workplace injury notifications.

·       Record injury details accurately and within required timeframes.

·       Provide professional and empathetic customer service.

·       Support injured workers and managers with guidance on next steps.

Triage & Injury Coordination

·       Assist in arranging medical appointments and treatment referrals.

·       Support early intervention activities.

·       Maintain accurate case notes and records.

·       Coordinate handovers to Injury Management Consultants.

WorkCover Administration

·       Assist with claim notifications.

·       Support employer excess administration processes.

·       Assist with wage reimbursement documentation.

·       Liaise with insurers regarding claim requirements.

Stakeholder Communication

·       Develop positive relationships with workers, employers and providers.

·       Respond to enquiries promptly.

·       Support communication throughout the injury management process.

Team Support

·       Assist the daily operation of the Injury Response Team.

·       Participate in continuous improvement activities.

·       Support administrative and roster activities.
