Fundamental Resources Pty Ltd serves as the employing entity for our FIFO haulage and maintenance workforce. We provide skilled, safety-focused personnel to support large-scale mining and logistics operations.
With ongoing growth and mobilisation, we are expanding our driver workforce and offering opportunities for experienced MC drivers to join a safety-focused, operationally driven team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking experienced MC (Multi Combination) Drivers to support a mining project in Wiluna, Western Australia. This is a FIFO role from Perth on a 4/2 or 2/1 roster, operating modern road train combinations in a safety-focused environment.
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient haulage of iron ore on mine haul roads and regional routes, ensuring full compliance with fatigue management, site safety systems and operational requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Safety & Compliance: Operate road trains in strict accordance with WHS legislation, site safety management systems, traffic management plans, and fatigue management requirements, including completion of pre-start inspections, hazard identification, and adherence to critical risk controls.
· Production & Operations: Safely and efficiently haul product as directed to meet production targets and haulage schedules in line with operational requirements.
· Vehicle & Equipment Care: Conduct thorough pre-start and post-shift inspections, report defects promptly, and ensure the vehicle and trailers are maintained in a clean and serviceable condition. Immediately report mechanical faults, tyre damage, or safety concerns.
· Communication & Coordination: Maintain effective communication with Supervisors, Mine Operations, Maintenance, and other operators to ensure safe traffic flow, load management, and compliance with site procedures.
· Reporting & Communication: Accurately complete shift reports, pre-start checklists, fatigue records, haulage dockets, and incident reports as required.
ABOUT YOU
Skills & Experience
· Demonstrated experience operating 18 speed road ranger gearbox quad road trains in a mining or heavy haulage environment
· Strong understanding of mine site traffic management plans and haul road conditions
· Proven ability to manage fatigue and operate safely over extended shifts
· Sound mechanical awareness and ability to identify vehicle defects
· Strong communication skills and ability to follow dispatch instructions
Qualifications
· Valid MC (Multi Combination) Driver’s Licence
· Current National Police Clearance
· Current driver medical (as required for heavy vehicle operation)
· Valid working rights in Australia
· WA Fatigue Management Certificate
